From the Burgh Hall in Dunoon, to La Scuola Grande di San Marco in Venice, to the Demarco Wing at Summerhall in Edinburgh celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Demarco Archive 1969 – 2019.
Summerhall houses the Demarco Archive and is home to the Demarco European Art Foundation. Richard Demarco is credited with being a major force in the introduction of avantgarde art to Scotland, has been involved with Edinburgh’s festivals for over 50 years and has inspired and promoted the work of generations of Scottish artists.
Exhibitions from the archives will be open to the public as part of this year’s festival programme, with a focus on Art and Healing. The programme features Leeds Beckett University, the University of Venice and the University of Milan.
